It’s the Season of Heart

Not everyone is a fan of Christmas, it can be a challenging time for many. Even if this is your favourite time of the year, it can get busy and demanding on your resources – money, energy and health alike. So often the question arises: why do we do all this in December and for what purpose?

Mastering Heart-based Consciousness

Heart-based consciousness, is the new era consciousness – an evolutionary shift we are collectively making right now. Coming home to the heart, activates feelings of love and compassion in an unconditional way. The heart-mind is far more powerful than the brain as it receives information first and then passes it to the brain.

Living in the heart and making true decisions with your heart-mind from a basis of love and intuitive guidance, are key mastery practices. In the heart, you begin to work more with your feelings and intuition to access your truth.

Heart Coherence

Heart-coherence is a state achieved when you shift your focus into the heart and activate heart-based feelings such as love, caring and appreciation. According to research done by the HeartMath Institute, heart coherence reduces stress and restores health. “Coherence is the state when the heart, mind and emotions are in energetic alignment and cooperation,” HeartMath Institute Research Director Dr. Rollin McCraty says. “It is a state that builds resilience – personal energy is accumulated, not wasted – leaving more energy to manifest intentions and harmonious outcomes.”

In Western Society we have valued the brain and its logical intellect over emotions for far too long. We seem to have overlooked the power of the heart. According to this latest research, the heart-brain is more powerful than the head-brain (thinking brain) and has a vastly expanded electromagnetic field; much bigger than the head-brain and it extends several feet from the body. Our heart energy therefore dramatically affects those around us. When in this space you are more expansive, resourceful, connected and in a state of flow. The heart-brain seems instinctive and intuitive as it senses information in the environment before the head-brain – and even before it happens. This is your own system of future precognition. It makes sense therefore to make decisions from the heart, intuitively; honouring that gut-feel. Heart-based consciousness is the new 5th-dimensional way of being.

The Link Between Love and Health

At the Institute of HeartMath experimentation with positive intent has shown a boost in the immune system. Negative thoughts like anger, depression, blame and frustration, have been found to suppress the immune system. DNA observed under a microscope tightened up and became shorter, some of the genes were shut down, limiting the range of possibilities we can tap and choose from. When they focused on positive emotions such as love, joy, gratitude and appreciation, the DNA strands began to relax and unwind, allowing an infinite range of inner potential to be tapped.

Dr Masaru Emoto’s intention experiment proved the same. Dr Emoto, author of “The Hidden Messages in Water” (2004), said that human consciousness has an effect on the molecular structure of water. He performed a series of experiments observing the physical effect of words, prayers, music and environment on water. The water would then be frozen to form crystalline structures. The crystalline structure of the water imprinted with positive words was far more symmetrical and aesthetically pleasing than those imprinted with dark, negative phrases. If our words and thoughts have this effect on water crystals, just imagine what kind of effect they have on people considering we are 70% water.

By being more love and light-filled, you affect the world profoundly. A master doesn’t change the world by battling with external events. Instead, true mastery is healing and forgiving your inner perceptions of the world and changing judgmental and fear-related perceptions to loving ones, remaining non-attached and compassionate. The master works on the source of the problem, the mind. Mastery is restoring your mind to its natural condition of love and light.

Fifth Dimensional Consciousness

Heart-based consciousness is transformational. As we shift from head to heart, from separation and ego to true unity, we transform our consciousness from fear-based to love. The 3-dimensional Earth, the plane of karma, is where we experience the duality of light and dark, good and bad, right and wrong, other and self – all the opposites. We learn and gain great insights through experiencing duality. To move into 5th dimensional unity consciousness, we have to integrate all duality in us: head and heart, ego and true self, fear and love. We also have to evolve our consciousness beyond any idea of good and bad or right and wrong or you and me or past and future. The 5th dimension is one of integrated unity, connection, light and love. We finally get the mind out of the past and the future, settling in the joy and expansion of the moment of now. Shifting into the heart, naturally brings you into the present moment where all is well.

The heart therefore is a gateway to higher consciousness. Through love, acceptance, forgiveness, gratitude, compassion, generosity and joy, you open the heart and naturally expand your energy field; your field of consciousness. You then feel your connection with everyone and everything. In a state of heart coherence your energy, good health and youthfulness naturally returns.

The Healing and Creative Power of Love

Our true nature is love, joy and peace. To realise this, we have to identify and dismantle the ego’s illusions, for it is our attachments to the illusionary material world of the ego, especially at this time of the year, that prevents us from experiencing a festive season that is truly peaceful, loving and magical. Opening our hearts, opens us to the true spirit of Christmas – one of joy, connection, generosity, peace, love and goodness for you and everyone around you. Love, compassion and kindness brings profound healing to the giver and receiver alike.

Heart-based Practices

Heart expansion

In your meditation, bring your awareness in to the Heart Centre. Breathe into it and expand the electromagnetic field of your heart centre. Feel yourself connecting to the source of love and light.

Group Activity

Embrace the power of group activity such as group meditation, group healing and community projects. Intend that your every activity is for the highest and greatest good of all.

Bring healing to yourself, others and the planet through visualising and positive thought-intention. Healing takes place when loving high-frequency light transmutes negativity and dis-ease. Healing can be sent over vast distances. Respecting free will, always intend that the healing is in their highest and greatest good. Detach from the outcome, accepting what will be, will be for their greatest good.

The quickest route to the heart is a practice of gratitude. Gratitude connects you to all the goodness in your life and restores your sense of well-being. A daily practice of gratitude has been proven to dramatically increase your levels of happiness.

Practice the gift of blessing. It evokes powerful divine energy. What you give, you receive.

‘Tis the Season of Joy

‘Tis the Season – of Joy, or Is It?

As the festive season kicks in there is much to celebrate and enjoy. Christmas is a time of social and family gatherings. Along with the good cheer, it can pose some unique challenges. This is not always a happy time for everyone. How can you make this Christmas a joyful celebration for yourself and your loved ones?

Be Merry and Bright

Christmas is a great time to get together and celebrate the year and your achievements with colleagues, friends and family alike. There’s so much going on this time of the year. With increased commitments to be ready, be prepared, get the shopping done, see all those people, it’s easy to feel under pressure both financially and socially. All this activity needs to be balanced with just being – enjoying the season. It’s a balancing act. Balancing the needs of others with your own needs.

Balance Giving with Receiving

The spirit of the season is kindness, giving, generosity and gratitude. Equally, allow yourself to receive. Receiving without saying ‘Ah you shouldn’t have…’. Receiving graciously with just a ‘thank you’, allowing others the pleasure of doing something for you. Balancing the give-and-take in relationships; what’s good for you personally with what’s good for the people you care about, is an essential fine art and you owe it to yourself.

Nature begins to go into hibernation now, becoming still, resting, recuperating, and so should we. I’m sure, like me, you feel ready for a break. The holiday season is long-awaited and yet it can fly by, with so much on the go. Amidst the shopping and social events, build in some quality personal hibernation time. Rest, reflect, be still – balance all that “busyness” with much needed self-nurturing. Clearing and resetting the mind now will be a valuable investment in your own well-being.

Stay Healthy

Maintain a healthy balance between festive celebration and eating for good health and a healthy immune system. Get out often for a breath of fresh air and movement, creating your own winter well-being experience.

Maintain Good Relationships

Christmas time often brings extended families under one roof, all expressing their varied opinions and ideas. This can create tension and stress. Have you ever wondered why this can be so challenging and when they go you start missing them again? It’s because the dynamics change radically when people live under the same roof and they reflect your shadow-self back to you once too often. When in company, we are always looking in a mirror. We can only change ourselves – we cannot change others. When you change your perceptions, people change, and your experiences begin to change too. Everyone around you is your teacher – helping you to learn something about yourself. That’s how you grow and evolve. Your greatest teachers are those testing people around you. We learn more about ourselves when our buttons are pushed.

Stay Emotionally Healthy

It’s always good to say how you feel and best to say it straight away. Biting your tongue and speaking days later is least effective because people only remember their own version. Besides, keeping your emotions in, makes you uncomfortable, unsettled and withdrawn. When you express your feelings, people get to know you better and they have a chance to see another side.

Christmas is not always a happy time for everyone. I know many people who have lost loved ones this time of the year and they can feel sadness. Allow yourself and others to talk about those who have gone, bringing them into remembrance. Honouring and expressing all of your emotions is the path of healing. Then you can remember the good times and treasure the precious memories.

It’s a Time for Joy

Mindfully tune into your feelings, to learn from them and grow in wisdom. Allow yourself to embrace and experience all your emotions and, without wallowing in them, keep moving towards love and joy. Yuletide is a time of peace, joy and celebration. Joy opens the heart and suddenly the world is a better place. This uplifting experience makes Christmas a special time. Make that your mission this season, to create the kind of joy that can take you deep into the new year with happiness and an open heart.

Be Grateful – Count your Blessings

Joy is feeling happy for no reason at all. What if you can’t feel joy? There is nothing more magical than a practice of gratitude to bring instant upliftment to the spirit. Reflect firstly, on a person you are grateful for, secondly, an event you are grateful for, thirdly, something about yourself you are grateful for. Listen to a Gratitude Meditation to make it easier for you. In your meditation, focus on the feeling of gratitude rather than the story.

Be at Peace

It’s best for your own well-being to be at peace with everyone in your life. You don’t have to necessarily like everyone, and there will certainly be people you won’t want to spend a lot of time with and that’s alright. As long as you are at peace in your own heart for your own sake. Sometimes we have to practice forgiveness to be at peace. There is nothing more freeing than forgiveness as it restores your vital energy too. This release can feel like a huge weight lifting as you put the past behind you peacefully. Nothing facilitates this better than the practice of Ho’oponopono, the Hawaiian forgiveness ritual. It means ‘to put things right, to make peace’. Remember, you are essentially doing it for your own well-being and your own peace of mind.

Set your Goals

So what will 2019 hold for us? The best way to predict your future is to create it. Create your future with thought-intention. By considering the kind of future you’d like to have, you begin to create it. With the power of your mind and your thoughts, you create your outcomes. Your mind is immensely creative, and the possibilities are infinite. Everything starts with a thought, an idea that we energise through focus. What you focus your mind on is a conscious choice. Often we think ahead with ‘what if type’ of thoughts fearing what might happen. If you focus on what can go wrong, you create more fear. We seem to be good at telling ourselves what we don’t want to happen. That leaves your Unconscious Mind confused about what you do want. Goals and intention give the Unconscious Mind a positive focus and direct the mind towards what you do want. Use the joyful uplifting season of Yuletide to cast your mind and thoughts ahead with a positive focus towards what you would like. This way you begin to create a magical 2019 ahead of you. Write your goals and intentions down now, to make your future more meaningful and purposeful. Next year this time you can look back and reflect on them, celebrating your achievements with joy again.

Thank You!
